North Highland Consultants Go 4000 Miles For Charity
February 25, 2014
North Highland (formerly Qedis Consulting), a global consulting company, along with other members of the Highland Worldwide partnership, participated in a global charity initiative called, 'Challenge You'. Eighty sporty management consultants from North Highland UK cycled, rowed, walked, and ran their way to collectively hit 4000 miles - the distance between the London office and global headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. The team really clocked up the miles, exceeding their goal by 20%, and actually covering more than 5000 miles. The team started peddling at 4:00 a.m. near Molesy Boat Club in Kingston, which was the base camp for the day and home to the finish line celebration once the challenge was completed.
This is not the first time North Highland has pulled the stops out to raise money for a charity. Last year, the consultants took on a 24-hour, non-stop challenge of running, rowing, dancing, and ping-pong-ing. The year before, it was a 280 km cycle from their office in Paris to their office in London. And before that, a double marathon from their office in Maidenhead to the capital.
On Saturday, they raised more than £16K for their chosen London-based charity, The Haven; a centre that provides dedicated support for the victims of domestic and sexual violence.
