The concept was simple: Combine the expertise and funding of six leading medical research institutions in a new facility that would change the way medical research is conducted. The reality was complex: Building infrastructure would need to accommodate everything from advanced collaboration to high-performance computing clusters and data storage. And it would have to be ‘future-proofed’ to accommodate rapidly evolving technology advances. North Highland was selected to define and design the IT strategy make the new facility a reality. With implementation underway, plan and procurement expenses are below budget and participants are already working to accelerate new scientific breakthroughs.
