The ICD-10 deadline is literally months away and the consequences for not migrating to the new code set by the deadline are serious. But beyond compliance, providers and payers have an opportunity to leverage ICD-10's richer data set to enhance disease management programs, drive better outcomes, price procedures more accurately, and enhance quality of care.
