Shanghai, where North Highland opened an office in 2009, marks North Highland's first outpost in Asia. As China's largest city and one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world, Shanghai is a major hub of finance and commerce and the world's second-busiest port.

Zhaolin Zhang

CEO – China

Zhaolin is an expert in corporate strategy, leadership development and change management, and has offered CEO-level consulting and senior executive coaching to many large corporations. His passion and ideas have gained him influence and respect among clients, students and Chinese entrepreneurs. He also teaches leadership courses in many leading Chinese universities and B-schools. His research and teaching involve cross-disciplinary subjects, especially the application of Chinese traditional cultures to modern enterprise management. Previously he served as CEO to large state-owned and privately-owned enterprises for over 10 years.

Eric Chen

Vice President and Co-Office Leader

Eric is an expert in strategy and supply chain management, with professional experience of over 15 years. He previously was the senior supply chain management consultant for P&G in the Asia and Pacific region. Over seven years of work experience with P&G allowed him to acquire a fundamental understanding of global production, ERP and supply chain integration management. He has worked on general consulting projects in many industries, ranging from consumer goods manufacturing to steel to health services.

John Slot

Vice President and Co-Office Leader

John has over 17 years of consulting and industry experience, specializing in strategic planning and execution, facilitation, process improvement, financial analysis, business operations, and performance improvement. He has worked across many industries with a focus on hospitality, consumer products, transportation, finance, power generation, and custom software development. John is an active member of the Orlando community serving on the Board of the Orlando Science Center, and as a member of the Central Florida Transportation Corridors "Task Force". Prior to joining North Highland, John held management positions with First Data Corporation, in support operations, application development, and business integration. John has a BS in Business Administration from East Carolina University and a MS in Management of Technologies from Georgia Institute of Technologies.

Michael Adick

Business Development Manager

Michael has 15 years of experience in industry and consulting, including banking, sales and marketing management, and strategy development. Prior to joining North Highland, he was with Volksbank Hoerstel eG, Siemens Ltd. China, and BearingPoint China.

Hanson Chen

Vice President

Hanson is an expert in sales and marketing, strategy and leadership development. He has participated in over 10 senior consulting projects on strategy, organization and marketing, serving as CEO consultant for many large privately-owned or transnational corporations doing business in China. Previously he was a senior consultant of Roland Berger in China, and had more than six years of sales and marketing management experience with P&G. In addition to experience in managing operations and consulting services, he has conducted research on strategy innovation, effective marketing and leadership development.

Steven Wu

Vice President

Steven is an expert in strategy and organizational management, with over 15 years of work experience. Previously he worked for P&G in China and Singapore for eight years. He attracted the attention of the senior IT management of some of the world’s best companies due to his experience in cross-functional IT management. He has expanded his experience in many key functions concerning corporate strategy implementation, such as human resources and financial management. Furthermore, his experience covers many industries, including consumer goods, retail, home appliance manufacturing, and steel.
