North Highland Executive Joins Fulton Education Foundation Board of Directors

ATLANTA (June 8, 2010) – North Highland (www.northhighland.com) announced today that Peter Herbert, principal at its Atlanta office, has been named to the board of directors of the Fulton Education Foundation (FEF). In this role, Herbert will join other Fulton County education and business leaders in providing strategic guidance and oversight to the organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the Fulton County School System.

Herbert was chosen to serve on the FEF board because of his track record of outstanding community involvement and leadership over the years, and his desire to deepen his involvement with the organization’s innovative programs.

"We encourage a healthy balance between work and personal time so that our consultants can pursue their passions, which, we believe, contributes to their value to our clients," said Dan Reardon, North Highland’s CEO. "Peter is passionate about education so it’s a natural fit for him to be formally involved in the continual improvement of Fulton County schools to provide students with new and enhanced opportunities for enrichment."

An Atlanta resident for 25 years, Herbert has participated in the Atlanta business community through management positions with such companies as Georgia Natural Gas, Siemens Corp., Ernst & Young Management Consulting and IBM. A principal consultant with North Highland since 2005, he has focused his professional career on data analytics and the management of Information Technology to improve business performance.

"I am honored to be selected to join this important board and I’m looking forward to working closely with the Fulton Education Foundation to help our schools, educators and children reach even higher to achieve excellence in all aspects of education and personal development," said Herbert.

Founded in 1986, the Fulton Education Foundation was created to extend the reach of the Fulton County School Board and strengthen the relationship between schools and their community. The Foundation enhances the performance and lives of Fulton County students and faculty by facilitating innovative programs in four key areas: Student Achievement, Physical Well-Being of Students, Professional Development and Teaching Methods, and Teacher and Staff Recognition.
