November 11, 2011 (ATLANTA) - Global consulting firm, North Highland, is pleased to announce that Linda Ferrone, vice president and office leader for Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville for North Highland, is a recipient of Consulting Magazine's 5th annual "Women Leaders in Consulting Achievement Award." Recognized for her unmatched leadership and professional accomplishments, Ferrone was honored at an awards ceremony on November 10 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
"We congratulate Linda on receiving this well-deserved, prestigious award," said Dan Reardon, CEO of North Highland. "Her accomplishments and leadership continue to add value to our clients and our organization. She embodies so much of what we are about at North Highland, thriving in our globally local business model with incredible passion for the industry. We are honored to have a leader of her caliber on our team."
North Highland's globally local business model allows consultants to work where they live. Exemplifying this approach to consulting, Ferrone is actively involved in the business and community, serving as vice president and local office lead in the company's Orlando office, as a commissioner for the Orlando Utility Commission and as an executive board member for the Orlando Science Center and the National Entrepreneur Center100 Club. Aside from her professional roles, Ferrone is also an active and involved mother of two daughters.
Averaging 15 years of experience, North Highland consultants deliver a global perspective and strong credentials for clients. Ferrone has more than 20 years of experience working with companies to improve their performance through strategic planning and execution, professional facilitation, organizational change management and performance management. Prior to joining North Highland, Ferrone held management positions at Ernst & Young, Radiant Systems, and the Quaker Oats Company.
"It's an honor to be recognized in a company of so many great women leaders. I'm humbled to be nominated by my peers, a passionate group of professionals, who have had an immense impact on my life and career," said Ferrone. "Everyone at North Highland, from consultants up to the c-suite leaders, is not only interested in client success, but also how each employee is developing personally. I really feel like a valuable part of a larger, extended family."
In 2007, Consulting Magazine established the "Women Leaders in Consulting Achievement Award" to honor women who are making a significant mark within the consulting industry. At the 5th annual award ceremony gala, 10 women nationwide were chosen out of hundreds of nominations to be acknowledged in the areas of leadership, lifetime achievement, client service and future leaders.
