The evolution of a better consultancy

In 1992, Dave Peterson, a talented and experienced consultant for a "Big 5" firm, had an epiphany. A great consultancy did not have to be a big, centrally located firm, flying its consultants out to distant client locations. Neither did it have to be a small, local, niche boutique. He had a better model in mind. So, he founded North Highland on the premise that it would serve its clients with the right blend of local consultants, knowledgeable about the client, alongside national experts with deep industry and service expertise. At the same time, he created owners of all employees with a real stake in the quality of work and the success of the company.

Dave also believed that consultants should guarantee their work - a philosophy that keeps us at the top of our game every day. Dave's radical ideas blossomed into a new breed of consulting that earns great returns for our clients by putting their needs first. Our decisions are guided by the simple certainty that people are more important than revenue.
