As we head into 2021, the media, entertainment, and communications (MEC) industry is approaching a new horizon, one marked by secure, efficient, and customer-driven operations.
In our annual survey of over 100 cross-functional industry leaders, respondents tell us that cybersecurity, customer experience (CX), and operational efficiency top their agenda.
MEC leaders largely share a positive outlook about what’s ahead. This may be due, in part, to a renewed sense of resiliency from weathering the pandemic’s challenges. Indeed, nearly two-thirds (62 percent) of the industry anticipates year-over-year growth, and many leaders feel excited and energized as they map out their priorities.
But our research also illuminates pockets of uncertainty beneath the surface. Less than half of industry leaders feel prepared to address their top priorities.
