<p>Barbara has more than 25 years of experience leading profitable strategies for clients across industries. Her growth and leadership initiatives have been instrumental in generating greater client value and inspiring ingenuity and integrity within the firm and with clients.</p>
<p>Ann Pickering is a Strategic Advisor, Chair, and Coach currently working with the Leadership team at KPMG LLP, Livingbridge, a mid-market private equity company and Indigogold, a leadership advisory firm. She recently stood down from her role as Chief People Officer and Chief of Staff at Telefònica O2 UK, a role she had held since 2008. Here she was also a member of the UK Executive and Global HR Executive Team, and was Chair of both the Pensions Committee and the Responsible Business Forum.</p>
<p>Her career at 02 UK began in 2004 when she was appointed Head of HR for Customer Service, then General Manager HR, Customer Service and Retail before being appointed Chief People Officer in 2008.</p>
<p>In her early career Ann held HR roles at Xansa PLC (now Steria PLC) Fidelity Investments Services Ltd and Marks & Spencer PLC.</p>
<p>Ann was voted ‘UK’s Most Influential HR Director’ in 2018, and Top 5 ranking prior and post this; in 2019 she was recognized in the HERoes global top 50 Women Role Model list. (‘Women who are ‘leading by example and driving change to increase gender diversity in the workplace’)</p>
<p>Ann is also currently coaching a number of senior executives in a variety of sectors and has a number of non-executive and educational interests. She is a trustee of Breast Cancer Now, Chair of the Sheffield University Management School Advisory Board (where she is also a visiting professor of HRM and Employability) and is a member of the advisory board of Helping Hands, a company which provides bespoke home and live-in care across England and Wales.</p>
