North Highland Focuses on Upskilling Employees with New HR Leader Matt Garey

Matt Garey joins firm as Associate Vice President of Learning & Development

Dec. 01, 2021 – ATLANTA - Leading change and transformation consultancy North Highland is excited to announce that Matt Garey has joined the firm as an associate vice president in its HR practice. He is joining the HR Leadership team and will be driving initiatives on talent growth and activation, career planning, and retaining top talent.

Matt’s focus will be to define and amplify our strategy for growing our people, enabling career development, and incorporating skill curation into career planning. We’re excited to have him at our firm where our employees will benefit from his guidance.”

Prior to joining North Highland, Garey was an HR Regional Leader for Amazon where he helped build out the company’s Sort Center network. Additionally, he has built HR functions at McMaster-Carr Supply Company, as well as Sherwin Williams. He has well-rounded HR experience and has made his mark in his career through his ability to align the HR function to the business through data-based decision making, relationship building, and keen insight into how process design and people development come together to impact the business. 

Garey received his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.
