On April 19, North Highland’s newest office, in Austin, partnered with the Street Youth Ministry, who help street-dependent, homeless young people and travelers in Austin. SYM builds relationships with their clients, and provides crucial resources such as meals, toiletries, clothing, and even textbooks when their clients are enrolled in classes.
The Austin office assisted SYM by “Cookin’ It Up” where the team helped with community lunch making activities by working in kitchen to make food, greeting clients, and assisting with dish washing and cleanup. The team then assisted with “Co-Op Team Time” by setting up the client drop-in, folding clothes, sweeping and mopping the floors, and interacting with clients who are co-op team members.
The North Highland Austin team was proud to help serve SYM in their initiative to help provide economic empowerment for Austin’s homeless youth.
