We’re excited to announce that Michael Pedrotti has joined North Highland as a Business Development Director. Based in Nashville, Michael will help drive client acquisition and revenue growth in the greater market. We sat down with Michael and Tom Bodeep, Global Vice President - Business Development, to learn more about Michael’s new role and the team’s vision for the Nashville market.
Welcome to North Highland, Michael! Can you share details on your new role?
Michael: My role is Business Development Director for North Highland, where I am focused on driving client relationships, which includes making new contacts and relationships at firms North Highland has not traditionally done business with and working with new lines-of-business and existing clients. I am passionate about building and energizing a strategic market development culture, by developing our consultant’s skills and capabilities and winning in the market. I am excited to strategically plan for account growth and new logo pursuits and to find opportunities for best-in-class team building to align the right combination of people, capabilities and opportunity to create a high performing organization.
Tom, what made Michael a great fit for the team and this role?
Tom: Michael is a strong culture fit with North Highland. He cares about doing things right, about the relationships we build along the way and about creating value for our clients. Michael understands our development model, focusing and investing in understanding the client, challenges, opportunities and capabilities and then driving to create solutions that get to the heart of the matter. Michael has the experience and business acumen to deliver a truly client-centric approach to the business.
How are you aiming to expand North Highland’s presence in Nashville? Where do you see opportunities for growth?
Tom: We know we can add the most value for midsize and large enterprises that are going through significant change. Particularly, those that want to bring the hearts and minds of their workforce along the transformation journey with them. The truth is that our approach is measured and disciplined. We don’t want to try to be all things to all companies in Nashville. Our approach is to invest deeply in a handful of companies that represent our best opportunity to add unique and sustainable value. We are searching for clients for life. That may sound aspirational, but that is the way we look at the business.
Michael: I am very excited about developing and nurturing relationships in the greater Nashville ecosystem. This is a dynamic time to live and work in Nashville, where companies are doing very interesting and innovative things. We’re seeing tremendous growth in a variety of industries as well as a strong trend of companies relocating to Nashville because of the thriving market. We have a strong team with years of proven success and solid leadership, who are passionate about doing the right things for both our clients and North Highland. We will leverage our culture and people-first approach, embedded in trust, to help drive strategic business conversations with clients we haven’t worked with and share our capabilities with new lines of business at accounts that have worked with us for many years. Relationships are paramount in any market, especially here in Nashville, and I look forward to spending time growing my network and building lasting relationships to support the business and personal objectives of our clients and network influencers.
